Matthew James Ketchum

About Matthew Ketchum

Matt Ketchum is currently a Lecturer in the Department of Religion at Rutgers University. His teaching and research focus on the religions, literature, and cultures of the ancient Mediterranean. He focuses especially on the texts and traditions of Early Christianity. His writing and teaching also engage modern critical theories of religion, gender, literary theory, postcolonialism, and cultural studies. He is currently completing a dissertation on the topic of resurrection in Early Christianity.

 

 

Matthew earned his B.A. in Religious Studies from the University of Missouri. He then attended Harvard Divinity School for his M.T.S. His Ph.D. in New Testament and Early Christianity is from the Graduate Division of Religion at Drew University.
