The volunteers line up too . . .

Everyone eats silently, leaving nothing . . .

in the evening, a little communal television

 . . . even more fun in Bridgit's company

Charly played glockenspiel in  Mary Yate's farewell  concert

The puppies (the youngest boys) sing in the same concert

Showing off note books from long- term volunteers Mary and Adam

A group writing session with Bridget Stoyko

Some of the boys are more boisterous (led by Hector of course!)

Demonstrating the kung-fu steps . .

. . . and doing cart wheels for the camara

Some kids prefer a group hug (from Amanda Santiago)

and again outside (from Amanda & Johanna Morejo)

Neysa Miranda reads to and hugs the boys at the same time!

outside El Hogar's walls

a small pulperia in a narrow "street"

a great tree to hang out in (especially with Vicky Montero and Elizabeth Salazar)

The "castigado" (punished) kids cut the grass with machettes

and sweep in front of the dining hall

...but all are forgiven for the piñatta party.

Even the littlest ones got a good hit.
