Did Einstein and Mozart think alike? Are science and the arts similar? What is science? What is art? Can science be beautiful? What is beauty? Specialization in individual subject areas is common in education - English is English and Chemistry is Chemistry and never the two shall meet. Such isolated pursuits are probably inadequate for complete understanding and appreciation of science and art, and how they impact society; thus an interdisciplinary approach should be pursued. Science and art, apparentlyat opposite ends of the intellectual spectrum, are intricately woven together in many ways. Through selected readings, film, interviews and discussions we will attempt to answer these questions and explore the parameters (methods, themes, goals) of and the connections between science and art.
