Consultant to the project director for program planning and development. Associate Director, 1989-90. THE NEW JERSEY PROJECT: INTEGRATING THE SCHOLARSHIP ON GENDER As associate director, involved in project planning and coordination and in developing regional academic alliances between high schools and colleges in women's studies. As the editorial consultant (1987-89) responsible for the newsletter and for developing the resource handbooks and directories for the project and for serving as a facilitator and resource person for faculty participants in two-week Summer Institutes, June 1987 and August 1988. As advisory board and steering committee member, involved in designing the original proposal for the 1987-89 grant and in defining new project directions for the 1989-92 phase of the grant.
Project Co-Director, 1989-90 (with Emily Style of Madison High School). "The Curriculum as Window and Mirror: Integrating Race, Class and Gender Scholarship into the Curriculum." A series of lectures and workshops for Morris County middle and high school faculty to allow them to work with university faculty on curriculum change. Funded a grant to Drew University from the New Jersey Department of Higher Education. Project Director, 1987-88
"Integrating the Scholarship on Gender: The Intersections of Race, Class, Ethnicity and Gender." Funded by a N.J. Department of Higher Education Humanities Grant. Faculty development and curriculum transformation project focused on integrating material on Third World women and women of color into the curriculum
Project Co-director (with Delight Dodyk), 1985-86. "Women's History through Biography." Funded by a N.J. Department of Higher Education Humanities Grant. Collaborative project with community women's history project which prese nted a lecture series, a workshop series, and series of panels in community sites such as libraries, women's clubs, and community centers. The project won a Commendation from the Association for State and Local History
Project Director, 1985-86. "Integrating the New Scholarship on Women in Introductory and Survey Courses." Funded by a N.J. Department of Higher Education Humanities Grant. Faculty development and curriculum transformation project designed to integrate material on gender into basic courses in humanities and social sciences disciplines
Project Coordinator, 1984-85. "Integrating the New Scholarship on Women into the Humanities and Social Sciences Curriculum." N.J. Department of Higher Education Humanities Grant. Faculty development project designed to introduce faculty, through workshops by visiting scholars, to recent feminist scholarship in their fields.
